THE REPUBLIC OF CONGO

The Republic of Congo is a Central African country located on the Atlantic coast. It is bordered by Gabon to the west, Cameroon and the Central African Republic to the north, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the east and south, as well as the Atlantic Ocean to the southwest.

INSTITUTIONS AND GOVERNANCE

The Republic of Congo is a republic with institutions established in accordance with the Constitution. Executive power is exercised by the President of the Republic and the Government. Legislative power is exercised by a Parliament composed of two chambers, while the judiciary is independent.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

The Republic of Congo maintains relations of cooperation with numerous States and international organizations. It is a member of several regional and international organizations and works towards strengthening diplomatic, economic and cultural cooperation.

REPRESENTATION IN GERMANY

In the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Congo is represented by the Embassy of the Republic of Congo, which is responsible for conducting diplomatic relations and protecting the interests of the State as well as its nationals.
